Our worship

We strive to craft a worship service that is deeply meaningful for everyone present while, at the same time, being reverent to our God.

Music is a big part of that. Our musicians are skilled in traditional instrumentation – like organ, piano and violin – but we also like to blend in a mixture of more modern sounds with acoustic and electric guitar, bass, and even mandolin.

We follow a “liturgy,” which serves as the template for worship and includes a public confession of sins, prayers, spoken responses, and confessions of faith, like the Apostle’s and Nicene Creeds.

Above all, though, the focus and feature of every worship service is the sermon – a 15-20 minute message personalized by our pastor to apply the timeless truth of God’s Word to the hearts and lives of the people gathered to hear it.

When we come to worship, we are eager to receive the blessings God gives and respond with thanks and praise.  Worship is not a performance for our musicians or pastor.  Neither is it a concert or entertainment event for the congregation.  It is the place where God and people interact through Word and song, sacrament and prayer.

As such, you will find our pastor wearing a robe on Sunday and many people “dressed up,” but there is no dress code.  We’re happy to serve you with the Word of God in whatever clothes you feel comfortable wearing.

If you have children, we love to have them us join us throughout the service and believe that when parents and children worship together, the bond of faith within the family is enriched that much more.  However, if you need a moment alone with your child, we also stream the service in our library where you can find privacy without missing a beat.

We livestream all our worship services on YouTube. Click the button below to be taken to our YouTube Channel where you can find a full archive of past worship services, and live worship at 10:00am (MST) every Sunday.

St. Pete’s on Repeat PODCAST

We also record a podcast that contains just the sermon for each Sunday. That way, if you can’t commit to watching the entire service, or if you are only able to listen and not watch a screen, you can subscribe to our podcast on iTunes (also available on Spotify and Stitcher) and listen to our sermons every week.
